Refresh Renovations was co-founded by Chris Caiger, Barry Bloomfield and Jon Bridge, some of New Zealand's construction industry leaders in marketing and business growth.  

After establishing the business strategy and marketing consultancy company Traffic in 2003, the group quickly discovered that the residential renovations sector held significant room for improvement.  Despite the size of the industry, it was clear that the majority of homeowners were being left disappointed by the final costs, timelines and quality of their renovations, while others felt too nervous to even begin a project!  From this knowledge, Refresh Renovations was created - a franchise business that offers homeowners exceptional service, end-to-end project management and, essentially, a renovation experience that allows them to achieve their ideas on-time and on-budget.

As collaboration between our franchisees has proven to generate better results, our typical territory consists of several franchises.  A franchise is awarded for every US $100 million in projected annual residential renovation work.  The number of franchises in a territory is limited and protected in the franchise agreement. Our residential renovation market data (by Zip Code) comes from a leading national database used across the industry.  Territory boundaries are well defined through the use of Zip Codes.

Training and Ongoing Support

Each franchisee starts with a 28 hour induction/training at the head office in Pensacola, Florida, or on-line that covers business management, marketing lead management, and sales.  Additional training is provided as the franchisee delivers their first projects.  This is part of a franchisees' 12 week onboarding program.

Ad hoc training is always available, plus there is also an on-line Learning Management System for all franchisees, a team Facebook page, a weekly newsletter highlighting best practices, a Quarterly Business Review and a global annual conference, just to name a few.

Operational and Marketing Support

In addition to managing the National Brand Marketing Fund, Refresh supports a large range of marketing options for their franchisees' local marketing activities.  These can be broken down into 4 types; Digital and online marketing; Customer relationship marketing; Trade relationship marketing, and;  General marketing communications.

On the operational side, technical support exists to manage the CRM, construction and financial management systems that run the end-to-end business model.
